Lift ("we," "us") is a prayer companion app operated by Lift App, Inc. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to praylift.io, the Lift mobile app, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
Account data: your email, display name, denomination, and Bible translation preference.
Prayer content: people you add, situations you record, prayers you generate or save, chat messages with the Companion, and answered‑prayer notes.
Usage data: basic device info, app version, crash logs, and aggregated counts (e.g., prayers per day) to keep limits fair.
Billing data: handled by Apple, Google, or Stripe. We never see your card number.
To generate prayers and devotionals, deliver reminders you opt into, sync your data across devices, prevent abuse, fulfill legal obligations, and improve the Service. We do not sell your data and we do not show ads.
When you generate a prayer or chat with the Companion, the relevant text is sent over an encrypted connection to our AI providers (currently OpenAI). Per our agreements, your content is not used to train their models. We never send your full contact list, only the fields needed for the prompt (name, relationship, situation).
When you send "I prayed for you," only the short message and verse you choose appear on the public share page at /p/[token] — never your full prayer or chat. Share links can be revoked by deleting the prayer.
We use Supabase (hosting + database), Cloudflare (delivery), OpenAI (AI), Stripe / Apple / Google (payments), and Resend (transactional email). Each is bound by data‑processing terms.
We keep your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, all personal data is permanently removed from our production systems within 30 days; encrypted backups roll off within 90 days.
You can access, export, correct, or delete your data anytime from Settings, or by emailing privacy@praylift.io. California (CCPA) and EU/UK (GDPR) residents have additional rights, including the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
Lift is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, email privacy@praylift.io and we will delete it.
We will post material changes here and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
